Learnings from US History book 1
- Indenture servitude + enslaved labors from Western Africa were all working for a free life in US
- It was a very hard life - and people fought with legislature to get a free life.
- This was under the British rulers, who were called as Settlers in US for it's land and resources.
- This is where the racial divide started, where black people from Africa were given lesser freedom than their white colleagues.
One thing I learned from this chapter is that -
- One of the black-African slave wrote their story on - Horrors of slavery, and the legislature read it. They relaxed some really hard laws, which made people's lives a little nicer.
- This tells me that - tell your story, be genuine and express how you are feeling.
- Write a book or a blog and express, with some proof.
- I had started writing how I felt at work and gathered some evidence and was able to confidently speak about this to my mentor.
- ChatGPT also helps me find good words for what I have described to it about my feelings.
